Shine on Health is dedicated to providing affordable/decreased-cost natural health care for those living with chronic environmentally-acquired illness. We are called to serve a specific sub-population of those with economic hardship due to their illness: those who are unable to work; are uninsured; low income; and single-parent households. As a naturopathic physician, Dr.Cara lives in her everyday practice one of the founding principles, “Docere,” or doctor as teacher. This non-profit will serve to educate our patients , as well as the public, about environmentally-acquired illness, provide resources for support, and teach ways to live so that these illnesses can be somewhat prevented.
