A lifestyle, a philosophy and a way to practice medicine

As a Primary Care – Naturopathic Physician, Dr. Hartz treats all family members, providing them with specific solutions according to their personal needs.

Her childhood dream of becoming a physician, coupled with her love of plants and her own health crisis, paved the way for Dr. Cara to discover Naturopathic medicine. She graduated from Bastyr University in 2010, then completed a one-year residency with a focus in Pediatrics and Women’s Health. She then completed a 2 year residency in Primary Care medicine with a focus on Lyme disease and related vector-borne infections. For the past decade, Dr. Cara has built her own practice, expanded her specialties and grown to know and care for her patients even more. She firmly believes in and practices in her life the naturopathic principles. As a mother of 3, Dr. Cara understands the joys and stress of having a family. Her life experiences, clinical experience, research and continuing medical education constitute a solid professional option for you and your loved ones to achieve a healthier life. Dr. Cara enjoys organic gardening, making herbal medicines, creating new whole foods recipes for her cookbook, hiking, camping, paddle boarding , coaching soccer, and participating in her kids athletic events.

“I pay special attention to the patient’s mind-set, simply because the mind plays a fundamental role in the self-healing process.. Assessing the spirit of the person is a priority to decide which treatment plan is the correct one, whether it be 100% based on natural medicines or needs to include conventional treatment options.”
